SplitGas is a service operated by Sawary Trading LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company
("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use,

- Device type and browser (via Firebase Analytics, no PII)
- Approximate US state (derived from GPS coordinates for gas price lookup only;
precise location is never stored)
- App usage events: e.g., calculation_completed, trip_saved, share_card_shared

c. Information from Third Parties
- Gas price data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA.gov) — public data
- Vehicle MPG data from fueleconomy.gov — public data

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the SplitGas service
- Calculate gas cost splits and store trip history
- Send SMS payment request notifications to riders (only when a driver manually
initiates this action inside the app)
- Process subscription payments via Stripe
- Send push notifications about trip balances and subscription status
- Improve app performance and user experience via analytics
- Comply with legal obligations

3. SMS MESSAGING
SplitGas uses Twilio to send SMS messages on behalf of drivers to their riders.
- SMS messages are sent ONLY when a driver manually taps "Send SMS" in the app.
- No automated, scheduled, or marketing SMS messages are sent.
- Rider phone numbers are provided voluntarily by the driver with the rider's consent.
- Message frequency: on-demand only (driver-initiated per trip).
- Message and data rates may apply.
- To opt out, reply STOP to any message. You will receive no further messages.

4. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share data only with the
following service providers, solely to operate SplitGas:
- Firebase (Google LLC) — authentication, database, analytics, push notifications
- Stripe, Inc. — subscription billing and payment processing
- Twilio Inc. — SMS delivery
- Google LLC (Gemini API) — AI-generated narrative text (no PII sent to Gemini)
- Upstash, Inc. — server-side response caching (no PII stored)
- Vercel, Inc. — web application hosting
- Sentry, Inc. — error monitoring (stack traces only, no PII)
Each provider is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. DATA RETENTION
- Trip data, rider profiles, and account data: retained until you delete your account.
- Account deletion permanently erases all data from Firestore within 30 days.
- Analytics data: retained per Google Analytics default retention (14 months).
- Stripe billing records: retained per Stripe's policies and applicable law.

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY (COPPA)
SplitGas is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal

We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Firebase Authentication for secure sign-in
- Firestore security rules restricting data access to the owning user only
- All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS
- No sensitive API keys exposed to the client browser

9. COOKIES AND LOCAL STORAGE
SplitGas uses:
- A lightweight session cookie (sg_auth) to maintain your login state. This is not
a security token and contains no personal data.
- Browser localStorage to store per-device rider Venmo handles (never synced to our servers).
- Firebase Analytics cookies for anonymous usage tracking.

SplitGas may link to third-party payment services (Venmo, Zelle, WhatsApp). We are not
